Experience and Qualifications

My first degree is in Mechanical Engineering, which I gained at the University of Madras in 2004. Following this I successfully completed an MSc in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Northumbria. I then worked for three years as a Design Engineer for a company in the North East of England.

Why did you decide to train to teach engineering?

I have always wanted to teach engineering, as I am very passionate about the subject. I believe that it can provide young people with a real insight into the broad range of industries that make up this sector. Having studied and worked in engineering I am keen to teach this subject. I do believe that young people are engaged by the practical challenges it provides.
