Engineering in school is an innovative and ground breaking subject. It can be taught through the new 14-19 Diploma and Applied routes. The curriculum has been jointly designed by teachers and employers. Pupils can learn through a variety of academic and practical learning situations in a variety of settings (the classroom, local FE centres and industrial placements).
Below are four video clips of engineering teachers who each describe engineering projects in their schools. Listen to the variety of projects that are undertaken both in and out of school.
